We invite you to join us at our 2015 summer retreat with Caverly Morgan from July 25-29 in the redwoods near Santa Cruz, CA.

We are deeply conditioned to look for love outside ourselves. In that desperate search, we not only experience the frustration and the futility of grasping, we lose sight of who we authentically are. Join us as we engage in practices that not only remind us of our true nature, but guide us to a direct experience of it. In opening to Love, we open to the remembrance of our own authenticity. Explore how all of our relationships are transformed when the ultimate relationship with who we authentically are is realized.

No experience required. All are welcome.

This retreat will include:

  • Silence
  • Sitting and Walking Meditation
  • Chanting
  • Healthy Vegetarian Meals
  • Time in Nature
  • Guidance and Workshop Sessions with Caverly
  • Yoga with Carol Grimes
  • Qigong with Vivienne Verdon-Roe

Zen teacher and former monk Caverly Morgan is known for her insight, humor, and real-world perspective. She is the founding teacher at One House of Peace and holds workshops and retreats nationally. Caverly is also the executive director of Peace in Schools, which brings mindfulness to young people in schools, shelters, and social service agencies in Portland, Oregon.

Carol Grimes, yoga teacher, offers a gentle, spacious practice that allows the body to open naturally and the individual to find ease within. Her style of teaching is gently flowing and breath-focused to help nourish, heal and balance body, heart and soul. Carol also teaches mindfulness to teens with chronic pain for Peace in Schools. Visit her at www.carolgrimesyoga.com.

Vivienne Verdon-Roe teaches a powerful form of qigong she used to heal herself from a 20 year struggle with chronic Lyme disease. The practice connects us to Source, the qi field, harmonizing our energy. The result is past conditioning releases, we relax, feel healthier and happier and at peace with ourselves and the world. Visit her site at www.embodylove.us.

“The power of retreat with Caverly is that you are guided to design and practice a ‘tool kit’ to recognize and intercept the internal negative talk and feelings we each have. This happens through the mentoring of a skillful teacher, intimate dialogue with other workshop members, and the repeated practice of exercises that connect with the breath, calm the mind, and energize the whole system. Over the several days of a retreat, your ability to practice gets deeper, no matter what level you start at, and stays with you longer in your post-retreat ‘daily life.’” — James, Arts Administrator

Retreat begins at 5pm on July 25th and ends at 1pm on July 29th.
