On your arrival and departure, please be aware that the road leading up to the center, (Prescott Rd.) is narrow. Please turn on your headlights, observe the 15 MPH recommended speed, and be prepared to pull over to the side, should you meet oncoming traffic.
Take the time as you drive up the entrance road to our property to slow down and leave the busyness and distractions of your daily life behind. Notice the stillness and beauty of the redwood forest as you begin the entry into retreat.
From Santa Cruz:
Enter onto Highway 1 south. Take the Porter Street/Bay Avenue exit and turn left under freeway. Turn right onto Main Street. Stay on Main Street until it merges into Glenhaven Road. Continue on Glenhaven for ½ mile. Turn right onto Prescott Rd. Follow Prescott Road all the way to the end, cross the wooden bridge, turn left and follow the signs to Land of Medicine Buddha.
From the Bay Area:
Take Highway 1 south along the coast through Santa Cruz and continue toward Watsonville. Or take 280 south, 101 south, or 85 south to Highway 880 which turns into Highway 17 toward Santa Cruz. Merge onto Highway 1 South at the Fishhook. Take the Porter Street/Bay Avenue exit and turn left under freeway. Turn right onto Main Street. Stay on Main Street until it merges into Glenhaven Road. Continue on Glenhaven for ½ mile. Turn right onto Prescott Rd. Follow Prescott Road all the way to the end, cross the wooden bridge, turn left and follow the signs to Land of Medicine Buddha.
From Aptos, Monterey, or South of Santa Cruz:
Take Highway 1 north. Get off at the Porter Street/Bay Avenue exit, turn right, then immediately right again onto Main Street. Stay on Main Street until it merges into Glenhaven Road. Continue on Glenhaven for ½ mile. Turn right onto Prescott Rd. Follow Prescott Road all the way to the end, cross the wooden bridge, turn left and follow the signs to Land of Medicine Buddha.
Remember: You will need the gate code if you arrive after hours. Get the code from your reservation confirmation email or from the main office.
